Purpose and goal:
The project´s objective is to develop a new measurement technique for the detection of different residual stress levels, for an increased understanding of how process parameters affect the state of stress Expected results and effects:
By using a non-destructive method suited for on-line monitoring, the dynamic changes can be evaluated and enable real-time feedback to the operators. Approach and implementation: Expected effects and results are made possible by fulfilling the following project goals: - Develop a (lab) validated and robust model that connects ultrasoic data and residual stress level in steel.
- Apply the residual stress model for a transient demonstrator and an on-line demonstrator at SSAB Oxelösund. - Functional test of hardware at SSAB in Oxelösund.
