Working methods for a stronger semiconductor ecosystem

Purpose and goal:

The project´s aim has been to identify working methods for cooperation and joint innovation efforts between regional and national actors, mobilize key actors to ensure a shared overview and propose an action plan to strengthen the Swedish semiconductor ecosystem. The objectives have been met through a detailed written report. Key stakeholders mobilized during the project, as they have been involved in the work through surveys, workshops and interviews.

Expected results and effects:

The expected outcomes of the project have been to understand current working methods, strengths, opportunities, needs, challenges and cooperation potential at regional and national level, as well as to provide a proposal for working methods that promote innovation efforts and internationalization of Swedish companies. These results and outcomes have been achieved through a written report. Long-term effects can be achieved by implementing (parts of) the action plan presented in the report.

The project consisted of a survey that was sent out to a wide range of actors within the semiconductor ecosystem, two workshops with key stakeholders and a written report. The information collected through the survey and the workshops was used to write the report, where the data, analysis, conclusions and action plan and a longer analysis of the project´s working methods are presented. The report has been reviewed by and discussed with Vinnova.
