Collaborative foresight new behaviors for sustainability, health and mobility

Purpose and goal:

The initiative seeked to uncover new ways for the SIPs to create lasting behavioral change at an individual level to contribute to better results in sustainability, health and mobility in society. Via processes and methods for collaborative foresight and futures thinking, practitioners and experts working with behavior and system changes in different sectors were brought together to explore new solutions and approaches for the design of lasting behavior change.

Expected results and effects:

The initiative united experts in urban planning, industrial design, corporation sustainability, and health care governance, along with Media Evolutions community members. With 331 participants, it aimed to engage a wider audience. Open activities made complex topics accessible. Valuable insights and ideas were carefully documented and published digitally and physically, ensuring their lasting impact beyond the project.

Approach and implementation:

The project was structured with workshops, facilitation, a core group, community engagement, and sharing of insights. The expert seminar at the beginning was to provide a common foundation for such a broad topic. Inviting, selecting, and engaging the core contributor group was a deliberate process to ensure diverse expertise, as we combined four distinct topics. We embraced an open-source approach to every part, involving the core group, community, and experts from various fields.
