Ways of Working with CLImB

Purpose and goal:

Ways of working with CLIMB aims to develop a systematic way of working to launch (implement) and further develop (design) the new Swedish valuation tool for biological diversity (CLIMB) with a focus on new KPIs for biological diversity, so-called CLIMB- units. On 1 September, the CLIMB tool was launched with the associated user guide and technical annex on the project´s website and is available for download.

Expected results and effects:

The project has focused on developing a tool to calculate biodiversity that can be widely used within different areas. The tool can be used in project planning to investigate different location alternatives, it facilitates communication and dialogue and can be used for sustainability reporting. Approach and implementation:

Cross-industry and cross-functional collaboration with the opportunity to participate and contribute for those who want has been the focus of the project. During the course of the project has over 200 representatives from cooperations and organisations given input to the different user groups. A group of scientists and other experts within ecology have been involved to ensure a scientific base.

An open launch event was held on May 22 with nearly 100 participants to spread knowledge about the tool and its areas of use.
