Sweden India Innovation Initiative - Phase 3

Purpose and goal:

SIII platform for strategic relationship building based on innovation has aimed to strengthen Sweden´s innovation work in India. During phase 3: Support a& secure efficient innovation systems in both countries Enable impact-driven partnerships & collaborations Strengthen multiple helix approach to cooperation

Support in attracting investments & competences in research and innovation to Sweden

The overarching goal aims to support the overall transformation into a more sustainable society by sharing knowledge, solutions, and best-practice by co-creation for innovation Expected results and effects:

SIII Phase 3 has leveraged the platform created previously to build strategic relationships based on innovation. SIII has enabled several activities with the goal of initiating and facilitating bilateral cooperation between Sweden and India. These activities included matchmaking events, activities under the ISGTP, identified and connected 60+ Swedish companies with Indian companies, connected start-ups with VCs, B2B meetings under smart city delegation, facilitation of collaboration projects, and also educated start-ups on ease of doing business in India.

Approach and implementation:

All the activities have been tuned and coordinated successfully in close collaboration with Vinnova and a few of the activities in collaboration with other Swedish partners including, Office of Science & Innovation, Ignite, IVL etc.
