Purpose and goal:
This pre-study aims to evaluate the possibilities of developing a biometric card for access control using on-card biometric fingerprint identification, ensuring that the card is used by the right owner during passage/identification. The objective of the pre-study is to get a foundation for a continued development project together.
The objective was met and the pre-study gave the information needed to now create a detailed project plan for continued product development together. Expected results and effects:
The pre-study gave positive results, where the biometric card fulfills an important function for customers who require a high level of security for personal identification within, for example, access control applications. The pre-study provided the technical basis required to now create a detailed project plan for continued product development together.
Approach and implementation:
The pre-study has been made jointly between Fuse Identities in Sweden and the Israeli organization and consisted of activities such as market analysis, definition of product requirements and measurements in lab environment. The work has been divided to fit each organization´s core competence, where market analysis and product definition were carried out in Sweden and technical investigation linked to card technology and lab tests were carried out in Israel.
