Grant Description

Purpose and goal:

SMASH- Sweat Metabolite Analysis for Health and Fitness is an AI-powered wearable sweat sensor that provides comprehensive analysis & continuous, real time monitoring of metabolites in sweat. It is designed to cater to a wide range of users, including endurance athletes, fitness-conscious individuals and sport phyiologist SMASH aims to redefine the way these individuals manage their health and fitness. SMASH empowers users to make informed, data-driven decisions about their well-being.

Expected results and effects:

Innovosens AB has developed the industrail version of SMASH device and sweat sensor to detect glucose and lactate from skin surface. We have conducted the benchtop testing and our next goal is to conduct pilot trail of the device. Overall, the laboratory testing phase demonstrated sensor´s accuracy of up to 95% and its high repeatability and reproducibility make it a promising technology for non-invasive and continuous glucose and lactate monitoring. We are already in disussion with several academic and private organizations for pilot study.

Approach and implementation:

SMASH project design centers on user needs, leveraging advanced sensors for pain-free, real-time monitoring of glucose, and lactate. It offers a cost-effective, regulatory-compliant solution and plans initial market entry in the UK and EU, tapping into their well-established healthcare systems.
