Novel equipment for superior and climate friendly cell cultivation intended for healthcare, industry, and research

Purpose and goal:

The goal of the project was to hire consulting expertise to perform an important step in product development for the company´s equipment, which is created to increase the possibilities for how cultured cells can be used for research, industry, and in healthcare. Expected results and effects:

Through the project, we have obtained documentation regarding product and design specifications, regulatory guidelines, risk management, future development plan, etc. The project also resulted in high quality renderings as well as early mock-up of our final product. The results will significantly support the project when we seek future funding.

Approach and implementation:

The consultancy company OIM AB has drawn up a proposal for the implementation of steps regarding design input (feasibility) for the product, with a clear aim of enabling the next step and at the same time creating value for Sorbus. This included focus on industrial design, risk analysis, requirements specifications, as well as a D&D plan. The project was then carried out according to this proposal.
