Purpose and goal:
The purpose of the project is to create an inclusive sensory prototype device that will encourage people to experience pleasure as a way to cope, learn and connect with their bodies. The goal is to test the body sensations created by the device, and analyze how it interacts with the skin, as well as how the product is perceived by the market.
Expected results and effects:
The expected result of this project is a final prototype, developed with all the specifications ready for manufacturing. This sensory device has the potential to lower burnout rate, depression rates and treatment costs. The project can positively impact the social narrative around solo pleasure, and change perceptions to a more inclusive society where all body types are recognized and encouraged to explore self-pleasure.
Approach and implementation:
In the initial stage, we will start to develop the technical side of the prototype. In parallel, we will research and test the sensory interactions with potential users. As a next step, we will hold workshops with different groups of users to understand how they perceive and interact with the product.
