Purpose and goal:
With Vinnova´s support, we have been able to determine how our product can be best adapted for the public sector, where we see our largest customer group. Over the past year, we´ve met with 146 chefs who have worked in school kitchens or within elderly care home kitchens. We´ve identified challenges in these kitchens and have better tailored our recipes and our product to assist them. The end result is a guide for school kitchens, from which you can draw inspiration here:
Expected results and effects:
Business model & Market-fit: Adjusted prices for the public sector due to increased raw material and distribution costs. Payment models established for both public and private sectors. Created a recipe bank for schools (see website). Scaled up production, improved sustainability, changed packaging, and calculated costs for a future in-house production facility.
Approach and implementation:
We have conducted workshops in the following municipalities: Trosa, Gnesta, Eskilstuna, Södertälje (x2), Danderyd, Nyköping, and Nykvarn. In total, we have met with 146 chefs who work in the public sector where we have experimented in the kitchens with our product to create delicious school meals with the help of Steksmeten. A summary of the results can be found here (Swe): https://www.jordnaramat.com/svinngod-skolmat
