Curious about Nature - Educational gardens for children

Purpose and goal:

Nyfiken på Naturen (Curious about Nature) is a project that creates greener outdoor environments and schoolyards with pedagogical value for children with special needs. The project is based on research that shows how nature promote children´s development. With the support from Vinnova, the project has developed a business model and strengthened key customer relations.

Curious about Nature is a successful example of how impact businesses can contribute to creating a real change for children’s development. Expected results and effects:

Nyfiken på Naturen (Curious about Nature) has delivered several results and effects that contribute to improving children´s outdoor environments and health. - Development of green outdoor environments that can be adapted to different places and needs.

- Development of a business model that is based on customer value and strong customer relations to be able to scale up the innovation.

- Creation of long-term relationships and networks with key actors interested in improving children´s outdoor environments. The project has good outcomes and is expected to have a long-term effect. Approach and implementation:

In the planning phase, we developed our concept, our business model and our target groups. We also connected with important partners. In the implementation phase, we tested our model and our approach. We also built relationships and networks with key agents.

The project has been carried out in a qualitative way and been adaptable to the changes and opportunities that have arisen during the project´s course by showing a high degree of relevance and benefit for our target group.
