Purpose and goal:
Through an extensive market analysis and in-depth interviews, potential buyers of used office furniture were identified. We launched a wizard of oz for the "sell with palace" feature, which is now an MVP feature in the platform. An outstanding results was when a customer put up 987 items for sale, where 275 items were sold at an average price of SEK 145, proving the economic benefit of reuse.
The goal of making it easier for organizations to sell large quantities of products in a sustainable way was thus achieved in a first step. Expected results and effects: The project has successfully generated: * Increased knowledge about the market and processes for used furniture.
* Increased knowledge about the user´s needs regarding functionality in the platform to generate sales for both sellers and buyers. * First completed sale via Palats. * MVP of the function live in Palat´s web platform.
The results will form the basis for testing the function against more users and further development of the service. A first sample case is a start to attract more sellers. Approach and implementation:
The implementation has followed plan with the exceptions that the opportunity to help in an external divestment came earlier in the project than expected and that a test was also done on the building materials side.
The goal was to make it easy for organizations to divest large quantities of products in a sustainable way through recycling. The first MVP that is now live of the disposal function in Palat´s platform is a first step in this direction of simplification.
