The Audiobook Revolution

Purpose and goal:

The purpose of this project is that Reedz will develop, test, validate and optimize AI models for translations and textto-audio technology in newly developed minority languages, and use the technology to develop prototypes of minority language audiobooks for proof of concept with Swedish libraries and their users. The outcome of this project is to expand the service internationally and contribute to the libraries´ mission to

provide books in all minority languages in Sweden and more countries. The project contributes to Agenda 2030 (UN Sustainable Development Goals) Expected results and effects: The social impacts if this project includes: - Increased reading/listening and interest in books among groups that currently do not have access to books

and literature in their mother tongue. - Increased interest in library services through the increased availability of books in multiple languages and as audio books. - An increased opportunity for education and knowledge - Reduced carbon dioxide emissions Approach and implementation:

During the project timeline and with agile methods develop, test, validate and optimize AI models for translations and text-to-audio technologies on minority languages. All in close collaboration with relevant parties.
