The project A co-creational approach for sustainable mobility aims to improve understanding of what impacts citizens’ behavior concerning sustainable mobility.
Design of transformative initiatives and actions with a social inclusionary perspective is enabled through an active citizen dialogue and a co-creational approach.
In this project, Kristianstad municipality and Kristianstad University collaborate to study challenges and possibilities for sustainable mobility in two geographical neighborhoods with different socio-economic conditions, Gamlegården and Åhus. The project begins with an informational campaign on sustainable mobility.
Thereafter, focus is shifted towards a co-creational process in which residents of Gamlegården and Åhus participate in focus groups and different forms of dialogue about sustainable mobility.
The resident’s insights and suggestions will then be analyzed based on enthusiasm, motivation, attitudes and driving factors surrounding sustainable mobility.
Lastly, citizens’ input will be transformed into concrete proposals of how to design transformative initiatives and activities that can help decrease the environmental impact from travel and transport. The project intends to provide an increased understanding of the needs, challenges and possibilities for sustainable mobility and how they vary within society.
The project therefore contributes to accelerating the transition towards equitable climate neutrality within the transport sector.
