Purpose and goal:
The regional industry has a great need for engineers with advanced skills and the lack of competence is today the biggest obstacle to sustainable growth.
The aim of this project is to develop, test and evaluate an innovative educational model for work-integrated lifelong learning in close collaboration with business. The collaboration will take place within the education in computer science, electrical engineering and automation at Mid Sweden University.
Expected results and effects: The expected results are: - Training model with at least six different collaborative activities - At least 20 participating employers
- Possibility to apply the model in all education development within the engineering programs after the project period and the possibility to use the model as an inspiring example.
- A comprehensive educational collaboration with business and the opportunity to offer the employers in the region competence with strong connections to working life. - Education model linked to seven of the Sustainable Development Goals. Approach and implementation:
The project will establish networks and various meeting forums for partner companies and relevant actors to ensure that the needs of business are met in the development of both new and existing courses. Seminars will be organized to spread the work and the model of work-integrated learning.
Mid Sweden University is the project owner and will implement the project in close collaboration with Bron Innovation, which is a ICT cluster with 90 organizations in the region.
