Purpose and goal:
The goal of the study is to verify that our developed methodology regarding digital modeling technology and production together with new materials meets the orthopedic technical requirements. When delivering an individually adapted aid, it is essential that there is evidence that it actually alleviates and relieves the patient´s problems. Our individually adapted insoles will be tested on different test persons together with Sahlgrenska Universitetssjukhus to prove the medical effect in terms of which pressures and forces occur during walking.
Expected results and effects:
After the completed study, we expect to have sufficient evidence to demonstrate that our methodology meets the orthopedic technical requirements. The test reports shall form the basis for verifying both our design generator and also our materials. At the end of the study, we must have enough data to have a ready-made design generator and be able to make a qualified choice of material.
Approach and implementation:
The first step in the planning is to compare today´s materials with our materials on a group of test persons and then compile and analyze the results. Based on the result choose a suitable material. The next step is to verify our design generator through ongoing tests with a group of test persons at Sahlgrenska Universitetssjukhus. Based on the data obtained, make adjustments to the code. The tests run continuously until the code is optimized for the production of individually adapted insoles.
