Grant Description

Purpose and goal: Goals:

1. Increase punch speed to 5 per second. The linear method could at most be run with about 3 punches per second, but due to scrap handling problems we had to slow down the pace to get a robust and error-free production. The tempo was therefore only increased by a factor of 3.

2. That the bridge thickness would be shrunk to 0.3 mm. The accuracy of the method has improved significantly, and it would probably be possible to use the linear method to drive this bridge thickness. However, the test would require thinner sheets, which was too expensive due to the MOQ, and has not been carried out yet.

Expected results and effects:

The result of the project is that we have developed a more robust and precise punching method than we had before, which is also 3 times as fast with potential to further increase the speed.

Expected effects are that with the help of this punching method we can build our own punching machines that produce high quality parts at a reasonable cost and in a robust and reliable manner. It helps us to further develop our electric machine technology towards new heights. Approach and implementation:

In the project, two punching methods have been evaluated, a rotary method and a linear method. The rotating method became too complex to be evaluated experimentally within the framework of the project, it was only evaluated theoretically and some insights emerged. The linear method was evaluated and improved both experimentally and theoretically.

The experiments turned out well, and parts of very high precision and quality could be produced. In work package D, opportunities to protect the technology internally were evaluated by Hagnesia.
