MIRAI WEEK Japan 15-18/11

Purpose and goal:

One of my goals was to contribute to the great initiative of collaborations between Swedish and Japanese universities. Also, attending interesting presentations from Swedish and Japanese colleagues was one of my objectives for attending MIRAI 2 week. Another important goal of MIRAI 2 meeting was to meet other researchers and explore potential collaboration chances.

Expected results and effects:

Attending MIRAI 2 meeting provided me the opportunity to meet and talk to researchers from both Sweden and Japan. I also got the chance to attend interesting presentations (materials science) and talked to colleagues about my research activities. I also discussed with colleagues active in sustainability and artificial intelligence areas.

Interesting discussions were formed, and I found an interesting opportunity to collaborate with a colleague with expertise in Life Cycle Assessment. We agreed to discuss this collaboration further and find potential ways of working together. Approach and implementation:

The meeting week was well designed and implemented. I also got the chance to discuss my research with other colleagues, and I found an interesting collaboration opportunity.
