The result is a description of the situation with a couple of recommendations. The work has already formed a good basis for the now opened the call for proposals "Bio-based chemistry" and can provide further guidance in future development stages of the chemical industry and to increase the proportion of bio-based raw materials.

Evidence for the investigation has been collected through stakeholder dialogues and interviews. actors who are active in the bio-based chemical industry were then mapped and relevant legislation is also touched upon and the material compiled. Development needs and driving forces were discussed in round table discussions with invited actors. The collected material was analyzed and summarized in a report.
