Funding of travel to the Matchmaking-Sweden Innovation week Brazil

Purpose and goal:

The aim of the trip was to establish good relations with existing and new partners for research collaboration within the area of Smart and Sustainable Cities in Brazil. To represent Sweden as PoC for Smart and Sustainable Cities. Both missions where full filled. Expected results and effects:

As a PoC, we have deepened the collaboration with our Brazilian colleagues. Together with SABESB in SP discussed how we can collaborate to solve some of the challenges in managing water in a smart city. SABESB is the fourth largest water company in the world. The outcome is that we will put together a Eurostar application.

We have also deepened the contact with UTFPR in Curitiba.

where we also deepened the contact with SANEPAR and the SENAI institute we already collaborate with. It was particularly interesting to see their sensor development and battery research for extended collaboration. Approach and implementation:

The set-up and implementation worked very well, mainly due to a lot of preparatory work to get good, concrete meetings face to face.
