Purpose and goal:
The project aims to create the right technical, business and legal conditions for property owners to be able to effectively reduce their energy consumption, but also to collaborate with energy suppliers to enable them to maintain a balance between consumption and production and thereby minimize the climate impact caused by climate-negative reserve power, but also reduce the risk of power outages caused by power shortages.
Expected results and effects:
The project has been successful in achieving the overall goal of a collaboration platform supporting a business model that stimulates collaboration between tenants, real estate and energy companies. The solution is equally relevant for commercial buildings such as office buildings, etc. In the long run, the solution facilitates energy companies to optimize the energy balance.
In 2024, we will continue the work with the involved property owners to evaluate the effects and the actual savings during the year. Approach and implementation:
In the project, a data sharing and collaboration platform has been connected to property technology to collect data and manipulate control devices (heating, lighting, etc.).
Workshops have been carried out in business models and legal frameworks with external actors from academia and industry, with experts in the real estate and energy industry. We have developed support for data sharing and illustrated an end-user data policy implementation for data sharing without impacting personal privacy.
