XR Sweden - Talent Attraction USA

Purpose and goal:

The project aims to increase collaboration between Swedish XR developers to strengthened business and increase exports, digitalization and talent attraction.

A Swedish stand at AWE brought together six companies from the Swedish ecosystem that showcased examples of Swedish technology, content and innovation. Participants received leads and business specifically thanks to their participation and are looking forward to the next Swedish initiative. Ideas and models for a Swedish XR industry organization is currently discussed with potential founders.

Expected results and effects:

The analysis of the Swedish XR industry shows an immature and not very homogeneous industry in need of a platform and forum for cooperation. A few companies successfully do business on a global scale in both technological innovation and creative content creation. Most of the companies are innovative but small, lack resources and sometimes also a clear focus.

The project has rendered leads and deals but also increased dialogue and collaboration between companies and created a basis for a future cohesive industry organization of importance for the industry´s positioning globally. It is generally difficult and time-consuming to get in touch with and coordinate the ecosystem. Despite a senior event planner, trade fair participation in the USA is complex, for example due to American union rules. The industry is in dire need of a platform/forum for coordination and positioning
