Climate Neutral Manufacturing Industry in Sweden 2040

Purpose and goal: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The objective of the project was to put forward a proposal for Vinnova´s call for proposals Impact innovation 2023.

The objective was to (i) engage a large number actors who share the vision of a manufacturing industry in 2040 with net-zero emissions, (ii) create a well-functioning interim organization and (iii) write a proposal and submit it before 19 October 2023. All the objectives have been met. Expected results and effects:

Expected impact for the project was to produce a high quality proposal for Vinnova´s call for proposals Impact innovation 2023. The result was a high quality proposal, with broad commitment in manufacturing and technology companies. At the final stage of a the proposal, many actors have been involved, interviewed and participated in workshops etc. The actors are all behind the application´s "mission" A Swedish manufacturing industry with net zero emissions in 2040.

The result is a qualified proposal with broad commitment. Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project´s structure was based on five work packages in the preparation project.

All actors from the preparation project, plus additional actors from industry, regions, universities have been involved. The project management, led by Teknikföretagen and RISE, has worked well. A chairman (ABB) and a project manager (Södertälje Science Park), together with work package leaders and working groups, have collaborated, with weekly pulse meetings and steering group meetings. Teknikföretagens FoU-referensgrupp has formed the steering group.
