Material solutions for a sustainable society

Purpose and goal:

This preparatory project aimed to mobilize actors within, and relevant actors outside, the area of material production, especially metals, to investigate how the area could best use a programme within Impact Innovation to push for the transition to a sustainable society and at the same time strengthen Sweden´s global competitiveness.

The result was a proposal for the call for program offices. Expected results and effects:

The result was a proposal submitted to the call for proposals for program offices within Impact Innovation including a mission statement. Approach and implementation:

The project was carried out in five work packages which dealt with compiling the metal industry´s priorities, analyzing relevant regional, national and international investments, carrying out programme- and GAP analyzes of experiences from previous SIPs, reviewing system innovation and carrying out a synthesis and mobilization of the results from above.
