Purpose and goal: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
Pressure ulcers create suffering and high costs in healthcare in Sweden and internationally. In the Pressure-IoT project to reduce injuries from pressure ulcers, the goal is to develop a cheap and robust IoT-based prototype solution with aim of reducing the suffering and the costs that arise from pressure ulcers. The sensor that will be developed in the project will be implemented in a healthcare mattress and an AI model will also be introduced in the system solution connected to the sensor.
Expected results and effects: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
At the end of the project, an expected results is that there will be a developed prototype of an IoT solution to prevent pressure ulcers. Together with the owners of the needs, Sundsvall and Örnsköldsvik municipality, produce a basis for scaling up the developed IoT solution linked to their needs, and that the prototype becomes part of a future product range of healthcare mattresses.
Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
The project had its start-up meeting on March 1, 2023 and will end on the last of October 2024. It is divided into 7 work packages with project management, communication, needs analysis, pressure sensor development, system development including connection and AI model, Test and evaluation as well as a work package on operational and innovation development.
For each work package there is a responsible participant, but the entire project consortium will be involved and share the project´s results via Teams.
