Circularity Gap Report Nordics

Purpose and goal: As described previously, the following objectives have been completed within the project:

1. A technical document summarising the proposed methodology for establishing a baseline for the Nordic region, including recommended year of analysis, overview of available data availability for detailing manufacturing sector activities, and a list of detailed manufacturing-specific scenarios that could be further developed for this project.

2. A full proposal, scheme and project plan for Phase 2 developed 3. Summary of the key partners that would constitute the coalition for Phase 2 Expected results and effects:

The results of the project demonstrate the technical feasibility in completing such an analysis, and the willingness for several key stakeholders to participate in such an initiative. Our interviews and meetings show that the project would provide value to Nordic stakeholders in better understanding how to focus their efforts to advance circularity and achieve social and environmental goals at a Nordic level.

The inability to secure a funding partner suggests that the outcomes of the project do not fully support the key needs or directions for further work to advance CE in the nordics Approach and implementation: The steps taken to assess the feasibility and define the set up for the project have been successful.

- we have shown that a CGR for the Nordic value chain can be completed, and we have demonstrated the preferred data, methodology, and specific scenarios that could be delivered

- the stakeholder participants that would form the project coalition have been defined and verbal expressions of interest have been secured as part of the stakeholder engagement plan
