Training is key to infrastructure accessibility!
By consolidating SciLifeLab expertise into openly available and flexible training formats we aim to upskill stakeholders from industry in advanced technological and data-driven life science topics.
Access to top level infrastructure and understanding of recent research advancements can seem far for small companies, therefore a Training Hub with the mission to consolidate training and disseminate knowledge to the industry will increase infrastructure accessibility and attract new user groups to SciLifeLab services.
This will have multiple values for the community; 1) to lower the thresholds for collaborations and services across academia and industry, and 2) create an on-line and on-demand accessibility of the knowledge treasure across SciLifeLab.The proposal is of particular importance to the life science community as lifelong learning is an objective both for national Research Infrastructures and the Swedish government.
The national Training Hub’s core mission is to disseminate SciLifeLab training and expertise to the Swedish life science community in openly available and flexible formats.
In this proposal, we specifically target the industry community, which tends to be a neglected user group with regards to infrastructure training.
In collaboration with SwedenBio the Training Hub will establish an open-access, community-driven framework aiming to consolidate and disseminate training collections from SciLifeLab to industry.
