Purpose and goal: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
The purpose is the development and construction of a prototype of a modular high-voltage unit for use with electron accelerators. The goal is that high-voltage generators should enable, through safer operation and lower total cost, investments in EB facilities, which will result in more efficient and more environmentally friendly production processes in industry
Expected results and effects: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
The result of the project will be a modular HVPS adapted for the electron accelerator. For customers who want to invest in EB technology, this means * The modular HVPS will be cheaper than the current solution. * The size is reduced, which enables/facilitates installation in existing premises. * A more reliable production and thus increased profitability for the customer.
* Easier service, which means that maintenance can be done faster/more efficiently. * A modular HVPS can be placed in a clean environment and can be cleaned by flushing with water. Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
ECAB has been developing and selling electron accelerators for more than 30-years. An electron accelerator requires high, grid and filament voltage to generate electrons. Since 1995, ECAB has collaborated with the Stuttgart Universitet Institute for Nuclear Technology and Energy Conversion, KE, For more than 30-years, KE has supplied sweep generators to ECAB´s electron accelerators.
The development must take place together, where each party contributes their skills. Implementation according to the attached project plan.
