The MMX mission of the Japanese space agency JAXA aims to land on, and return a sample from, Mars´ moon Phobos.
Luleå Tekniska Universitet (LTU) is providing science support for JAXA’s MMX mission to Phobos, with Axel Hagermann, member of the Science Working Team, providing expertise on regolith mechanical properties measurements using the sampler device SMP-C. Alex Moore, PhD student, works on how Phobos-like soils behave in microgravity compared to Earth.
We ask for travel support in connection with our contribution to MMX.
