Purpose and goal:
In this project, we aim to create a system for predictive maintenance and early warning in sewage systems using AI. The system will use a platform built on the European Interoperability Framework for Smart Cities and Communities to promote cooperation, transparency and interoperability. Our project aims to create a sustainable, smart and digitized water sector, promote collaboration, knowledge sharing and implement digital solutions to help smart cities address societal challenges and improve citizens´ lives.
Expected results and effects:
The project intends to clearly increase the ability to monitor and maintain the sewage network, using new sensors and data platforms. We will also spread and evaluate the results from implementing the CIP by promoting the transparency, interoperability, and collaboration among municipalities, citizens, SMEs, startups, and universities. Furthermore, we will include and present Swedish and Brazilian startups and SMEs that relate to challenges within the sewage network systems SABESP faces, ultimately to lay the foundation for future business collaborations.
Approach and implementation:
First, we will define the hardware, software and communication requirements of the platform. This includes data analytics, machine learning, and cybersecurity. We will then implement a platform that is able to process large amounts of data from the sensors and provide accurate and actionable insights.
We will align the platform with the EIF4SCC standards to ensure that the platform is easily integrated with other systems. Alongside this, we will analyze current value chains and business models for a predictive maintenance system for sewage systems in Brazil.
