Purpose and goal:
The project intends to design, build and demonstrate AAM-technology (Advanced Air Mobility). Through this project we intend to achieve: - Competence building and knowledge dissemination around AAM. - Demonstrate a practical and societal high impact case - Further develop technology, in particular sensor technology at vertiports
Expected results and effects: Results from the project are expected to be:
- Evaluation of sensor technology from the automotive industry and its usefulness for heliports with regard to approach aids such as e.g. cheap radar technology/cameras/surveillance systems. The focus is on take-off and landing and adaptation must take place towards separation in speed, accuracy, flight safety and environmental impact
- A demonstration EVTOL with the ability to take off/land autonomously. - Live Demonstration of Mock Rescue Auction. - Press Release - Publications Approach and implementation:
Due to the tight time frame to achieve the challenging targets, five work packages will initially run in parallel: management, sensor systems, system design, demonstration and dissemination of results. The ambition is to finish the first four work packages in the middle of 2025, while the dissemination of results is expected to continue through 2025.
