Purpose and goal:
Green-On is a B2B company that produces an ingredient that can be used to replace tropical or animal fats, especially milk fat, palm and coconut oil. These have in common that they are not sustainable but lead to large emissions of greenhouse gases at the same time as they are responsible for deforestation of rainforest areas. Green-On´s patented process uses electricity, water and carbon dioxide as raw materials.
In the project, part of the process has been evaluated and prototypes have been manufactured together with selected customers. Expected results and effects:
The project has resulted in a suitable method for scale-up on a pilot scale, which will be Green-Ons´s next step. Through the project, we have also made product prototypes together with our customers. This has led to a good starting point when our pilot plant will be built.
We have come closer to our customers and the evaluation they have made of our products has been invaluable. This means that our marketing work has also received a real push forward. These customers and Green-On have together expressed a wish for a long-term collaboration. Approach and implementation:
The project has been carried out by Green-On and consulting partners. The reason for this is that Green-On is a small start-up company that needs to use consultants and contract labs to be able to work both time and cost efficiently. This has worked well and several of the collaborations will continue even as Green-On grows. The general arrangement led to good results and the right competence has been found either with Green-On or with partners.
