Purpose and goal:
The project aims to replace synthetic, fossil-based dyes with Mounids non-toxic algae ink for cellulose material on industrial scale, to enable circular and non-toxic production, consumption and recycling with dyes.
The goal after completion is that Mounid can produce on scale of at least 500 liters, are ready for market and customer and raise capital for continued scale and production. Expected results and effects:
The algae ink is commercially viable and we have poc on scaling production with contract manufacturer, identified a sustainable production flow and prevented obstacles. Mounid is ready to onboard with first customer. By this, we prove our place in the value chain and the effect will be that we can start contribute with our innovation in the industry to become more circular and phase out fossil-based dyes and harmful chemicals from being used.
Getting to market will make us able to raise capital to go global. We increase the demand for local microalgae farms and CCU. Approach and implementation:
RISE and CIT starts working with the algae ink formulation for cellulose, requirements for scale production and commercialization. In parallell, requirements from material or machine suppliers and end consumers are identified by Together Tech. The results obtained can be taken to R&D activity, and be handled in the product- and process development.
Project manager from Mounid continuously collect and communicate results internally (and externally), so the commercial advisory board strategically can develop a sustainable scalable business, secure customer and investment.
