Purpose and goal: Seapattern AB has developed an AI-based system solution for synergy optimization in electricity production with several floating turbines in flowing water. Based on a few measuring points in the flowing water, we will calculate the optimal placement of the turbines so that you obtain a
self-reinforcing synergy effect over how the currents interact between the turbines. This will then be verified with a deployment of three turbines according to the calculated pattern. The goal is to demonstrate increased power production. Expected results and effects:
The project will result in increased technology maturity for both our turbine solution and our AI algorithm. We will also be able to demonstrate the benefits of our solution to future customers. Approach and implementation:
The project will be carried out as five work packages: Update the turbine design after completed prototype tests, manufacture of three units, calculation of optimal placement, Installation in water channel and verification of the function. The project is expected to take one year to complete.
