User Tests and Focus Groups Electric Outboard Motor

Purpose and goal:

As planned, the project has carried out tests of Zparq´s prototype for an electric outboard motor in a natural environment. The project has been very productive and provided valuable knowledge about how users perceive the system and what is important and prioritized based on driving experience, maintenance, design, purchasing behaviour and ownership.

Expected results and effects:

Real customer needs and usability of the solution have been verified. We have been able to further develop prototypes to a Beta-series. The tests have made it possible to verify - and adjust - the design, construction of subsystems as well as further develop the intended product packaging.

By demonstrating the proof-of-concept of Zparq´s unique technology, the interest of international customers and partners has increased even more. Benchmark Tests (June-Sep 24) User tests (July-Sep 24) Analysis: The arrangement has worked well and will be used by Zparq for similar projects in the future as well.

One challenge is the seasonality: Difficult to recruit ‘common users´ during the cold season, as well as the limitations caused by of ice, snow and darkness.
