Visit SpaceX + NASA JPL + UC Merced in combination with participation in OpenAI conference

On November 6th 2023, I am invited to the inaugural OpenAI devday conference in San Franscisco US.

The reason for this invitation is my work with utilizing generative AI (similar to OpenAIs chatGPT) for building a PhD match finding tool (Phinder) with the purpose of simplifying interdisciplinary collaborations.

In combination with this visit to San Fransciso, I would like to take the opportunity to visit labs in the region that are active in space tribology with focus on tribocorrosion and tribochemistry. I have previously discussed this subject with professor Ashlie Martini from UC Merced (Merced, CA). She is working together with NASA´s Jet Propulsion Lab (Pasadena, CA) on aspects of space tribology.

Dr. J. F. Preciado has expertise on tribocorrosion at SpaceX, and I have attended his lectures previously. Visiting their labs provides opportunities for collaboration. I seek support for travel and three days accomodation to visit the above labs.
