Purpose and goal:
The overall aim of the project is to ensure fulfillment of the Mining and Mineral Industry´s ambitious target of increased biodiversity by 2030 according to the roadmap "Mining with Nature". In addition, the mining industry´s work with biodiversity will be communicated through trainings for employees and through communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
Expected results and effects: 1. Guidances are drawn up to give member companies support in focus areas. 2. Training in biodiversity for employees at member companies to raise level of knowledge 3. The digital training platform is further developed and a long-term management solution is developed. 4. A critical review of the roadmap provides input for updates and improvements.
5. External communication of the roadmap to authorities, organizations and stakeholders with aim of spreading knowledge, acceptance from society and inspiration to other companies and industries. Approach and implementation:
The training will be launched in the spring of 2023 and the platform be further developed during the fall and winter 2023-2024 after input. The aim is to find a long-term management solution and make the platform available to the public no later than the fall of 2024. Guidelines will be developed continuously during 2023 - 2024.
A critical review will be carried out by SLU during the winter of 2023 - 2024.
The roadmap will be continuously communicated through participation at various conferences, network meetings and collaboration meetings within Sweden, the EU and internationally.
