Retake on park development - adopting circularity, creative landcape development and flexible processes

Sustainable cities need sustainable parks. The purpose of Omtag is to contribute to more sustainable solutions in park development, with focus on recycling, nature-based solutions and flexible construction processes. Within the project, new ways of creating biologically rich and maintenance-efficient plant beds with recycled material are tested and evaluated.

The goal is to build up new know-how around the construction and design of these environments, as well as to analyze effects from an economic and organizational perspective. Expected results and effects: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **

The desired effect is that knowledge built up in the project can inspire and help more actors to work more with recycling in parks. Expected results are: Physical installation of test beds with various recycled materials.

Case study reports with description of obstacles and success factors, as well as analysis of consequences of more flexible construction processes for e.g. requirements, costs and roles. An illustrated guide that explores "the aesthetics of the sustainable" and shows design principles. Approach and implementation:

The project runs for two years and is a collaboration between Örebro municipality, Urbio and KTH. Örebro municipality is responsible for project management and for the construction of the new park which is the test bed. Urbio is responsible for work package two where different aspects of the design of the new park are explored. In work package three, all project partners collaborate in evaluation of the test beds and of the construction process used within the project.
