Purpose and goal:
The CO2-Believe project aims to create the conditions for implementing genuine bio-based materials into innovative electric transport systems. A 100% biogenic composite material will be further developed towards driving properties impact strength, vibration damping and thermal insulation to be able to achieve the functionality of Vidde´s and Cake´s snowmobiles and motorcycles.
Expected results and effects:
The project will contribute to all three effect goals from the Lightweight Agenda, including Hållbarhet, Tillväxt, and Effektivitet, by including three young Swedish SMEs to help their growth journey within material development for lightweight applications (PaperShell), manufacturing, development, and export of sustainable, lightweight and electrical vehicles regarding snowmobiles (Vidde) and motorcycles/mopeds (CAKE). It will also enhance the knowledge of sustainable and lightweight materials for all project participants.
Approach and implementation:
The CO2-BELIEVE project officially starts 2023-08-01 and is expected to last 24 months, with a closing date of 2025-07-31. The project is grouped into five work packages to meet the stipulated project goals. The consortium is built by four partners where RISE Research Institute of Sweden AB is the principal project leader.
