Smart City Expo World Congress & Business Forum 2023

Purpose and goal:

The purpose of the project was to plan and implement the Smart City Business Forum on November 6, 2023, and Swedish participation in the Nordic pavilion on November 7-9 at the Smart City World Expo in Barcelona. The goal was to get a large Swedish participation and offer them an opportunity to show off their progress in Sweden, to learn from other international actors, expand networks and form new partnerships. 135 participants from Sweden actively participated in the events, which is a record, with around 400 in the Nordic pavilion and close to 500 European actors at Business Forum.

In addition to the number of participants per se, a positive results was that we had spread participation from cities, government programme, regions, research and not least companies and startups. Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **

The Nordic pavilion was planned and implemented, as in previous years, by a Nordic team with Innovation Norway, Business Finland and the equivalent in Latvia and Lithuania. Denmark did not manage to organize an organized participation this year either, but Danish actors were active in the program in any case. Business Forum was planned and implemented together with Nederländska RVO. Several other organizations took responsibility for individual workshops.
