The conference "It´s time to adapt - patient-centred care with digital solutions" will take place on November 9th, 2023, organised by Skaraborg Hospital (Region Västra Götaland) in collaboration with the University of Skövde.
The theme of the conference creates added value for the research area as the future requires alternative solutions to today´s healthcare and welfare with relief both financially and workwise.
The aim of the conference is to create an arena where researchers and clinical practitioners can meet to exchange experiences, create contact for future collaboration and contribute to spreading healthcare research to relevant target groups.
Furthermore, the conference contributes to knowledge sharing within the national research community through invited speakers, but the ambition is also to be able to present an international element. The target group for the conference is primarily researchers and postgraduate students, but also clinically active, at Skaraborg Hospital, the University of Skövde and other collaborative partners in the region, e.g., Primary care (Närhälsan), Regional health (Regionhälsan), the Skaraborg Institute and the Municipal Association.
A secondary target group is patient associations, elected officials and civil servants with responsibility/interest for health, working life and welfare in relation to sustainability and digitalisation. Estimated number of 120 participants on site.
It will also be possible to participate digitally. The program contains presentations of ongoing projects within the theme of patient-centred care with digital solutions.
Several of the projects and knowledge development take place in collaboration between researchers and clinical practitioners to create sustainable systems for development, knowledge sharing and mutual learning.
When preparing the program, the organisers has taken equality and diversity into account, which has generated a preliminary program with a good balance between women and men.
