Purpose and goal:
The goal of this project is to demonstrate free-space optics with drastically reduced cost and improved robustness, providing a highly demanded alternative to radio frequency communicationfor 5G/6G. Expected results and effects:
Our FSO technology will support rapidly growing data traffic related to new AI- and XR-based services and have a profound impact on telecom networks for several applications, including mobile backhaul, metropolitan networks, enterprise/campus networks, data centers, and last-mile / single-user access.
