CGHRM, the Centre for Global Human Resource Management at the University of Gothenburg is now organizing its third international research conference (previously in 2017 and 2019).
This time it is done in collaboration with the research network FALF, the association for working life research, which brings together working life researchers from many different universities and colleges in the country.
FALF organizes research conferences every year and now chooses to organize its major June conference into a joint and interdisciplinary conference.
Other participating research groups are WE – work and employment, Agecap and SDG 8, all with a connection to the University of Gothenburg.
The conference will take place 17-19 June 2024 at the University of Gothenburg (School of Business, Economics and Law and Faculty of Social Sciences). Invited are international and national researchers from different countries. At previous conferences organized by CGHRM, about 25% have been Swedish researchers and the rest foreign.
At FALF´s conferences, almost all participants are Swedish researchers, with additions for visiting researchers from foreign universities. At our joint conference, we expect that at least 50% will be Swedish researchers.
The conference focuses on working life in general and focuses on how different actors such as HR practitioners, managers, employees and unions handle personnel/HR and management issues in terms of promoting long-term sustainability.
The conference´s theme on sustainability includes areas that concern working life and HR issues such as skills supply, leadership in the future, digitalization / automation, well-being, borderless work, salary and reward, motivation, HR organization, industrial relations, gender equality, diversity and more.
The program includes three external lecturers, seminar treatment of submitted papers, symposia on current themes.
