Social services forum Conference 2024

Social Services Forum is a national two-day conference that has been organized every two years since the 1990s.

The aim of the conference is to initiate and facilitate the dialogue between researchers and social actors important to social services such as social workers, social managers, municipal politicians, and other stakeholders. At the social services forum, important topics for the social services are presented and discussed.

Besides bridging the gap between research and practice, the aim is also to raise ideas for new research questions with relevance for social services.

The 2024 conference is organized by the Department of Social Work, University of Gothenburg (GU) and The Gothenburg Region/R&D in the West (GR/R&D in the West).

Representatives from these organizations are part of the overall planning group that selects the conference´s theme and selects presenters. Invited to these meetings are also representatives from Jönköping University, SFS, SKR, CSA and Forte.
