The overall goal is to strengthen the competitiveness of Swedish industry by enabling increased excellence in SMEs. The initiative aims to introduce more Swedish SMEs in lightweight technology to the innovation system and to support them to move on to larger R&D and customer projects.

LIGHTer Småföretag has a particular interest in supporting smaller companies that work with lightweight technology and which previously did not receive major public research funds to enter the innovation system. At least 30 companies that have not previously applied for LIGHTer Småföretag must have submitted a proposal, and at least 15 of them will be granted project. Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **

Carry out two calls for proposals, one in 2023 and one in 2024. Carry out two sustainability workshops with the SMEs participating in project.

Information dissemination before calls for proposals and coaching of SMEs into the Swedish innovation system, for example through collaboration with IUCer.
