Purpose and goal:
The project aimed to improve opportunities to promote the development and application of digital tools in primary production and food industry and increase their technological scale-up as a way to more effectively address the soil-food nexus. The goal of the project was to produce or participate in one or more applications for international calls for proposals on research and innovation collaboration.
The project has met its goal by submitting applications. Furthermore, stronger networks with relevant national and international actors have been created. Expected results and effects:
The project resulted in two applications to Horizon Europe, one of which with Linköping University as coordinator. Proposal the university led referred to the call for proposals "HORIZON-CL6-2024-COMMUNITIES-02”. The partnership included 8 actors, incl. universities and research institutes.
The second proposal referred to the call for proposals "HORIZON-WIDERA-2023-ACCESS-07”. The partnership included 25 actors, including universities, energy offices and companies. No international proposal received support but has created a large lasting network. Approach and implementation:
The project was largely carried out according to the plan presented in proposal, whereby a slightly larger share of planned resources was devoted to proposal where the university was coordinator. The project´s most important work steps included: 1) Preparation of project draft, 2) Structuring and coordination of the application work, 3) Quality assurance and submission of proposals.
