Bio economy trip to Toronto and Vancouver

The purpose of the project/trip was to create an opportunity for an in-depth collaboration with companies mainly in Canada but also other countries and through this to find joint funding opportunities as well as to network with representatives of mainly Canadian and international industry, companies, academia and the public sector. We met the goal of attending a major bioeconomy conference in Vancouver where we made a pitch, and participated in matchmaking sessions and by attending matchmaking events in Toronto.

By having met and created contact with Toronto and British Columbia-based as well as other international companies in the bioeconomy, we now have the opportunity to further form collaborations. We have made contact with a promising potential customer in the Toronto area who is very interested in our product, as well as several lignin producers who may consider investing in us to expand their portfolio of forest-related products.

At the matchmaking event in Toronto, we found a potential client and made several important contacts in our network. I Vancouver we participated in the conference "Forest Innovation & Bioeconomy Conference”(måndag 19/6- Wednesday 21/6). We pitched our company to the entire conference on Monday and had several opportunities to speak to the interest generated. At the matchmaking event, we had the chance to talk more with 4 lignin producers.
