Long-term financing of the collaboration arena for a climate-neutral construction sector

Purpose and goal:

The purpose has been to investigate the possibilities of finding one or more actors who want to continue financing the Customer Network after InfraSweden. The goal was to find a solution. It turned out to be difficult. Expected results and effects:

The result shows that there is no given actor that has the right conditions to take on the financing of the Customer Network at the time of the this study (spring 2024). Several actors, including the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, Vinnova and Adda show great interest and commitment, but they currently see no opportunities. Newly started and future Impact Innovation programmes can also be possible financiers.

Approach and implementation:

The study has been carried out by procured consultants through dialogues with just under ten actors (Trafikverket, Byggföretagen, Vinnova, SBUF, SKR, InfraSweden, Viable cities) as well as a desk survey where the just mentioned and a number of other actors´ possibilities to finance continued work have been examined. In addition, the consultants have carried out five working meetings where different options and ways forward were discussed.
