Sustainable manufacturing of indium, gallium, and rare earth compounds from mining tails

Purpose and goal:

Mat4green Tech has been working on developing innovative processing technologies to address securing the supply of minerals, resources, resource efficiency and circularity challenge. We focus on critical raw materials which are high supply risk, and recovery of minor metals from mine tailings and industrial production waste, such as indium, gallium and REE in the form of high-added value products that can make their recovery economically sustainable.

The project reach its goals of introducing our innovation in North America and developing new collaborations . Expected results and effects:

During the project, we analyzed and understood the need of the North America mining and processing market and created a network for further business development. Approach and implementation:

We collaborated with Business Sweden in North America to improve the outcomes of the project and joined several online meetings and worked specifically on an analysis that was tailored to our needs. We discussed and understood the differences in business presentation and working between the countries. We went on several mining field trips, visited companies, and attended a seminar.
