Funki - inclusive musical instruments made to be played together

Purpose and goal:

Funki´s business idea is to make music making together with others available for all kinds of people, regardless of ability. With adapted musical instruments that works through a smart technical solution which help users to stick to a common beat, tempo and part of the song composition, we create a meaningful and creative activity and an alternative way of communication to increase social interaction and inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities.

Expected results and effects:

Expected results of the financing are to take the product from the prototype stage it is in now, to a sales-ready version. When the product is ready for sale, more people will have access to play the Funki instruments, and we can continue to develop the product so that it becomes better and can be used by even more users, from different target groups.

In the longer term, we expect that the use of the instruments will contribute to long-term and sustainable inclusion, by making playing music together available to all kinds of people, in a completely new way! Approach and implementation: We divide the project into four main areas: - Producing sales ready physical product

- Marketing and selling - Creating content for the instruments, i.e. music, sound and activity concepts. - Application development

A large part of the funding goes to produce a serial product, which includes consulting costs in mechanics, electronics, software, and costs for test labs in connection with CE marking. A marketing pot is placed on creating video material and visiting customers. Sound content is not financed and the remaining goes to costs related to app development.
